After performing and teaching internationally, and being the featured artist at Hodjapasha Culture Center in Istanbul, Turkey for multiple years, Nehir has set down roots in Ohio and is looking forward to bringing this rich, elegant, and healing artform to the greater Cleveland area. She has appeared on billboards abroad and magazines in multiple countries and holds a license as a registered dance and movement therapist (R-DMT). With a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and expressive arts therapies, and a focus in dance and movement therapy, she brings the healing aspects of this dance to the forefront in therapeutic dance workshops. Standard dance classes will maintain a light and playful atmosphere while learning the technical components of this invigorating dance form that exercises the body as well as the mind while encouraging the spirit to play!
